Current Universal Champion Brock Lesnar will be competing at the Royal Rumble later on this month and at WrestleMania in April. It has also been rumored for a while now that Lesnar could be leaving WWE in 2018 before making an MMA comeback. While Lesnar’s departure from WWE still has yet to be confirmed, the Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer informed fans on Twitter recently that Lesnar’s current contract with WWE expires in April. Meltzer then noted that there may actually be some clauses that could extend his contract as far as August. It’s possible that Lesnar could be staying with WWE for a few months longer than expected if he does leave the company this year.
It runs out in April but there are clauses that keep it going through I think August. https://t.co/FHFv5jgM9o

Everybody spent the start of 2018 in a different way, but Raw’s Heath Slater may have one of the more interesting stories to tell. Slater posed an unenviable video of himself wherein he revealed that he was locked in an airplane bathroom. The crew all attempted to get Slater out with very little success at first, but Slater later posted another video on his Instagram account finally showing the crew unlocking the door. Heath Slater is now free once again, just in time for tonight’s Monday Night Raw show in Miami, Florida. Maybe this is all part of Rhyno’s recent plan to transform Slater into a tougher and fiercer competitor going into the new year.

A few weeks ago, it was revealed that former WWE Superstars Ken Anderson and Shawn Daivari would be opening up their very own professional wrestling school called “The Academy.” The training facility has announced that Billy Gunn is set to appear for two seminars: one for performers who have had 0 to 20 professional wrestling matches. Then, another for those who have had over 20 matches. Billy Gunn has plenty of experience in the wrestling industry, and he was also a trainer for NXT for a little while as well. Attending these seminars may be quite beneficial for any aspiring professional wrestlers coming up today. It is $50 to attend one seminar and $75 to attend both.
If your around this is going to be good. pic.twitter.com/pStaMO51YN
