An independent star will challenge Cody for the TNT title on Dynamite.
Tony Khan wrote the following regarding Cody’s title match: “Tomorrow night on #AEWDynamite, @CodyRhodes will defend the TNT Championship against one of the top independent wrestlers in the world! It’s part of a huge card and what I promise will be a great episode of #AEW Dynamite tomorrow night on TNT at 8pm ET/7pm CT!”
Jon Moxley also hyped “a big surprise” on today’s episode of the Dan Le Batard Show, saying that the opponent “made me exceedingly happy, especially for the more hardcore fans who kind of follow the scene around the world.”
Already announced for Dynamite is Hangman Page vs. V from the Dark Order, Ivelisse vs. Diamante, The Young Bucks vs. The Butcher & The Blade in a falls count anywhere match, and Chris Jericho & Jake Hager vs. Luchasaurus and Jungle Boy.
Brian Cage & Taz are scheduled to appear, as well as Jon Moxley. Additionally, MJF will also be in action.
