Impact Wrestling’s Slammiversary XVI PPV Event opens up with a video vignette recapping all of tonight’s matches as we see quick interviews from multiple wrestlers.
– Johnny Impact def. “The Bone Soldier” Taiji Ishimori, “The Canadian Destroyer” Petey Williams & Rey Fenix in a Four Way Match with Starship Pain on Fenix. It was a crazy match and the crowd was super hot for it.
We head backstage to The OGz Lair where we see that Homicide and Hernandez are getting ready for their match. Homicide says that he is sick of Konnan and his empire. King shows up and tells them to keep feeding that fire. King also says that they are the ones who deserve the empire, not Ortiz and Santana. King then says that tonight they will make LAX cry tears of blood. King then says that after they win they will take that LAX name and burn it and The OGz will rise up.
We head backstage where Tessa Blanchard and Allie are being interviewed. Blanchard says that she is going to run over The Knockout’s Division despite Madison Rayne putting a wrench in her plans. Allie then says that she gets there is issues between Tessa and Madison, but that’s no excuse to just attack someone, she’s not going to sit by and let that happen. Blanchard then says that she is going to make Allie think twice about getting in her business. Allie then talks about what happened with Rosemary and after all of that she says she still has come out the other side fearless.

– Tessa Blanchard def. Allie with her hammerlock DDT. Allie looked like she had it won earlier when she hit the Code Breaker, but Blanchard was able to roll outside the ring to avoid the cover.
We head backstage where Alicia Atout interviews Moose and asks him about his upcoming title match. Moose says that tonight every bone that he breaks and mile that he drives will pay off. Moose then says that he feels good, looks good, and tonight he plans on kicking Aries up, down, and around that ring.
We get a video package recapping Eddie Edwards feud with Sami Callihan that eventually turned into Edwards going against Tommy Dreamer.

– Eddie Edwards def. Tommy Dreamer in a House of Hardcore Rules Match. The match saw Edwards staple Dreamer in the head, then Edwards hit Dreamer with a Boston Knee Party to a chair. After the match, Edwards wasn’t done. He grabbed a kendo stick but then started to cry. He helped Tommy up but Dreamer shoved Edwards away. Tommy offered his hand when Eddie’s wife Alisha came to the ring, demanding Eddie shake Tommy’s hand. Then for some reason, Dreamer handed Eddie the kendo stick (like a passing of the torch). Alisha then heads to the back by herself, leaving Eddie alone in the ring.
We head backstage where Matt Sydal says that since his match with Brian Cage was made official he’s been bombarded with messages asking about his safety. Sydal then says that he’s so glad people are here for what they think is going to be a slaughter, but they aren’t looking at things through their third eye. Sydal then says that he sees through Cage’s shell and no matter how big his muscles are, he’s not using his biggest one, his mind.
– Brian Cage def. Matt Sydal (c) to win The X Division Title. Sydal’s feet hit the turnbuckle on the Shooting Star Press and he didn’t land it. Brian Cage followed up with The Drill Claw for the win.
We head backstage where Austin Aries is being interview. He says that Moose keeps saying this is his dream, well wrestling is Aries’ reality. Aries then says that he is going to remain the champ, despite all of Moose’s hard work. Aries finishes by wondering what Moose will do for his third career choice. Boom! Roasted!
– Su Yung (c) def. Madison Rayne to retain The Knockouts Title. Madison had to content with undead bridesmaids jumping on the apron throughout the match. Despite that, it looked like she was going to hit CrossRayne when Su shoved her hand in Rayne’s mouth for the Mandible Claw. After the match, Yung rolls Rayne towards the coffin and puts her in it. Yung then stands on it with the title as she semi-headbangs to her music.
We head backstage to LAX’s Lair where we see Ortiz, Santana & Konnan talk about their plan for tonight’s match. Konnan says that he is tired of The OGz saying that LAX’s days are numbered.
– LAX (Santana & Ortiz) (c) def. The OGz (Hernandez & Homicide) in a 5150 Street Fight to retain The Impact World Tag Team Titles. Konnan distracted Homicide when Homicide had Ortiz up for a move. When he was jawing with Homicide, Konnan tossed Ortiz a bag of tacks. Ortiz threw them in Homicides face, slammed him into them, and then hit a splash from the top rope for the win. After the match, King knocks out Santana and Ortiz with a billiard ball in a sock, he then knocks out Konnan. They deface the titles with “OG” written on them.
We get a promo from Sami Callihan saying that social media thinks he’s going to lose his hair tonight against Pentagon Jr. Callihan continues by saying that Pentagon Jr. says that losing your mask or hair is how things get done where’s he from, but where he’s from it’s about blood and violence.
– Pentagon Jr. def. Sami Callihan in a Mask vs. Hair Match. This was a violent affair. The men took turns driving spikes into each others head. Sami tossed something in the eyes of Pentagon after Penta was dealing with The Crist Brothers. Blinded, Pentagon broke the arm of the referee thinking it was Sami. In the end, Pentagon broke Sami’s arm and delivered The Pentagon driver for the win. After the match, Pentagon goes to cut Sami’s hair, but both Crist Brothers show up to stop it from happening. Callihan is able to run away, but Fenix (and security) shows up to make this happen. Pentagon cuts off Callihan’s hair and shaves his head. The crowd with a “Shave his beard!” chant, but Callihan yells “No!”.
