Rachel Woell will get her state championship after all. Her dear friend Lance Benick took take care it for her late Saturday night at the Xcel Energy Center.
Woell, a senior and student manager of the Totino-Grace football team, died in September of brain cancer. She was 18. After her passing, the Eagles immediately dedicated their football season to her memory and responded with a magical run that carried them to a narrow loss to Eden Prairie in the Super 32 Prep Bowl championship game.
