WrestleMania 35 is now only two days away from taking place. The event is set to feature one a dozen matches in front of a record-breaking crowd in New Jersey this weekend. One of the matches that will be taking place on the Kickoff show is the WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal. Later in the evening, Finn Balor will challenge Bobby Lashley for the Intercontinental Championship. These are definitely two matches that fans are looking forward to checking out during the event, but the results of these particular bouts may have already been spoiled online. Given that one of these matches is a title match and the other is a battle royal consisting of nearly the entire WWE women’s division, those who are sensitive to spoilers may want to stop reading.
The battle royal is set to feature names from Raw, SmackDown, and possibly even NXT, but one person can win the entire competition and get their name added to the trophy. According to Cageside Seats, the winner of the battle royal is expected to be Lacey Evans. Evans has not done much since being called up to the main roster from NXT earlier this year, but her battle royal win this Sunday will be the catalyst for a huge push. Also, Slice Wrestling says that Finn Balor will defeat Bobby Lashley to win the Intercontinental Championship for the second time in his WWE career. Balor has confirmed that he will be competing as “The Demon” during his title match, so it sounds like WWE will keep the character unbeaten on the main roster this Sunday.
In just two more days, Kofi Kingston could end up becoming WWE Champion for the first time in his long career with the company. Kingston has got a ton of support going into his title match against Daniel Bryan this Sunday at WrestleMania, but some have taken issue with Kingston claiming that he is representing “people like us” in his match this weekend. Even WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross noted that this seemed to allude to racial injustice, which he feels was unnecessary for the storyline. On Busted Open Radio, Kingston took the time to clarify some of his comments. Kofi says that he just wants to represent everybody and encourage them to be themselves. Kofi did say that race plays a role in the storyline, but he wants people who have gone through issues od overcoming the odds to identify with the story.

“People who are always climbing obstacles – climbing mountains, only to find more mountains as the top of those mountains and having to climb again. You know, ‘people like us’ it involves – it’s everybody who has struggled, you know what I’m saying?” Kingston said.

“It’s everybody who has struggled.”
A lot has been made of the phrase “people like us” when it comes to the #KofiMania story heading into #WrestleMania but @TrueKofi says it was left open ended for a reason. pic.twitter.com/pDO5IobfIF
