Polish national team and Czech team are making their last preparation before their Olympic qualification touirnaments.
Last weekend they played two matches in Legionowo. The first meeting was quite good, but short – Poles won 3:0. They were good in block and attack, they were not lucky on service. The following day the game started really poor. Both teams made a terrible number of mistakes. However, Czech team was better in the end and they won the first part 28:26. The second set belonged definitely to the guests. Polish players seemed to be really tired (they had a hard gym training) and their opponents were doing really great in spiking and with a big help of Jan Stokr they ended the second set. In the third set a terrible mistake has been made by the main arbiter. In fact, this game should have ended in three sets, but it did not happen. We had two more parts instead. Finally, in tie break, Czech team was more determined and better in attack and guests won this match 3:2. After the game many Polish fans admitted they are happy about Czech’s win, because too many points has been taken from them.
Good news for Polish team is Bartosz Kurek is ready to join the World Cup. There were some doubts about his health, because he could not play in hist last match in Plus Liga, however the doctors have taken care of him and now he can support Poles in Japan.
