War of words between India and Pakistan is getting worse ever since the former decided to alter the Article 370 of the constitution that gave special status to the state of Jammu and Kashmir. Leaders from both the sides are making statements targeting each others’ policies towards the contested peace of land. India has maintained that the part of Kashmir, currently administered by Pakistan, is illegally occupied.
The current standoff has brought the question of ‘Pakistan Occupied Kashmir’ (POK) to the centre stage as the next step of the Indian administration is to stake a claim on that territory as well. Most of the terrorist activities against India are reportedly carried out from there and the Pakistani security agencies boastfully encourage them.

India’s home minister, Rajnath Singh has however clarified that POK is next of India’s agenda and if Pakistan wants to hold any talks it should stop terrorism.
